If you have always wanted to try your hand at making pasta you will love this day! Floury, messy, very hands-on and also very tasty.

Besides the kneading, rolling, shaping, cooking and flavouring of pasta, we will make various pasta dishes; a selection of classics –
like Bruschetta and delicious griddled vegetables;pesto
or tomato sauce for your pasta; Melanzane Parmigiani – a
vegetarian layered aubergine dish with 3 cheeses; maybe
a seasonal  risotto and if time a pudding or two….

These classes can be for groups or individually if you prefer,
then you can design your own day at your own speed.

Starting with the correct chopping and preparation of vegetables and herbs for stocks, soups
and sauces, through a complete roast meal, working with eggs for both mayonnaise and puddings; handling fish and meat, cooking rice and pasta, and making some easy yet delicious weekday suppers.

Young Students

You’re never too young to enjoy the treats of the kitchen made by your own hand!

Students will go through a few basic techniques, the use of knives and kitchen dangers. Then they will watch and cook dishes such as Vegetable Couscous, Fish Pie, Ham and Apple Scones, filled Crunchy Potato Skins, Spicy Chicken Wings, and Blueberry Muffins. At the end they will have a chance to taste
all the dishes and take samples home along with their recipes and notes.

Healthy cooking and eating is vital for all ages and especially for the young. Feed the brain! Learn to
love cooking at an early age. Become excited by blending flavours. Have fun with new tastes. Keep your food fresh and simple. Buy locally produced food. Choose the best quality you can afford.

A self-catering course before going to UNI

to take away. Dates in the holiday times can be arranged to suit you).

Students will have a crash course in self-sufficiency! We will cover a selection of dishes
that should feed them for 5-6 days on a student budget, as well as talk about shopping,
the nutritional content of what they are eating and the advantages of batch cooking.

We will prepare dishes such as Bacon and lentil soup, Minestrone, Pot Roast Chicken, Left-over’s Risotto, Bruschetta, Sausage and Bean Pot Supper, Potato and Cheese Frittata, Green Vegetable Stir-fry, ways with baked potatoes and mash, Lazy Fruit Pie, Lemon Sultana Drizzle cake. We break for lunch to test out their culinary delights so far and at the end of the day students will take home samples of their cooking, along with their recipes and notes.
